DENVER GREEN LAWNS INITIATIVE

Those of us that call Denver and the surrounding beauty of Colorado home don’t need convincing that this is a great place to live. Unfortunately, our brown, weed-ridden lawns in the metro area are in stark contrast to the lush natural beauty of Rocky Mountain landscapes. Why is that? 

 

We all know it’s not as easy as putting down a new layer of sod or reseeding the lawn in Autumn; Colorado’s dry climate and precious water resources mean we can’t throw traditional lawn care approaches at the problem. Denver Green Lawns Initiative (DGLI) provides free information and awareness on how to achieve green lawns in both senses of the word: Green in Color, and Environmentally Green.
